AVIcode Names Former BMC VP & Area Director to Lead Sales 

Mark Davis Named AVIcode VP Sales

AVIcode, the leading provider of .NET application monitoring solutions, has named Mark Davis to serve as Vice President of Sales.

Davis comes to AVIcode from BMC Software, a $2.4 billion provider of enterprise systems, applications, databases, and service solutions for 80% of the Fortune 500. Davis managed all aspects of sales operations for the mid-market BMC product line, while concurrently overseeing field channel activities for all BMC enterprise and emerging growth customers.

Davis surpassed his sales targets in 10 of the past 11 years, despite four corporate reorganizations that saw his original company, Vycor Corporation, acquired by McAfee, which then purchased Network General to become Network Associates. Network Associates subsequently sold its Magic Service Desk product to BMC in 2004, with Davis joining the company as Vice President of Global Sales.

During that 11 year span, Davis established his reputation as a consistent revenue accelerator. He led the entire business in year-on-year growth, customer retention, and attainment of sales goals during realignment. He also transformed an understaffed, underperforming sales team into a robust, goal-reaching sales powerhouse within two years.

Davis is a graduate of James Madison University. Prior to joining Vycor in 1994, he held team leadership positions with government contractors Orincon (1987-89), Teledyne Brown Engineering (1989-90), and American Management Systems (1990-94).
