AVIcode INTRODUCES TFS INCIDENT MANAGEMENT CONNECTOR

First commercial product to automate communication between Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server

BALTIMORE, Maryland, 6/14/2006 – At Microsoft Tech•Ed 2006, AVIcode today announced the AVIcode TFS Incident Management Connector, the first product that enables communication between Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server.

The TFS Incident Management Connector supports Microsoft Corp.’s Dynamic Systems Initiative (DSI) by integrating Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 alerts as Team Foundation Server work items, and facilitates automated bi-directional communication between operations and development teams. When used in conjunction with the AVIcode .NET Management Pack, organizations will be able to more effectively communicate and resolve application problems such as coding errors, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity and security issues.

“The adoption of Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server represents a significant opportunity for collaboration between developers, operations and IT personnel,” said Ian Knox, group program manager of Visual Studio 2005 Team System at Microsoft Corp. “Combining Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, Visual Studio Team System and the AVIcode TFS Incident Management Connector gives organizations an IT platform that supports them from application modeling through development, deployment and management, and enables friction-free communication between development and operations teams.”

The TFS Incident Management Connector allows for the creation of operational issues, automatic status updates, and delivers a Team Foundation Server work item type that provides an operational workflow process template for incident and problem management. Users can easily map Microsoft Operations Manager to multiple Team Foundation Server projects in order to effectively monitor and manage issues across application teams.

“We are pleased to announce this product which significantly improves communication and resolution time for application errors in support of the Dynamic Systems Initiative,” said Mike Curreri, AVIcode CEO. “With the delivery of the .NET Management Pack and the TFS Incident Management Connector, AVIcode is clearly positioned as a leader in delivering on the promise of application health modeling and monitoring.”

The TFS Incident Management Connector enables developers to integrate and automate the communication needed to effectively monitor and manage application issues. It integrates seamlessly with AVIcode’s .NET Management Pack, allowing Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 users to enable custom .NET Framework-based application health and service level monitoring.

The TFS Incident Management Connector will be available soon for download from www.avicode.com. For pricing and additional information, please contact AVIcode at 443-543-0030 or visit the company’s website.
