AVIcode Announces the ASP.NET Report Library for Operations Manager 2007

Free Add-On to Operations Manager 2007 Enables Critical Application Behavior Reporting

BALTIMORE, MD and SAN DIEGO, CA, 03/28/2007 – At the Microsoft Management Summit in San Diego, AVIcode, Inc. today announced the AVIcode ASP.NET Report Library for Systems Center Operations Manager 2007. Available as a free download from both Microsoft and AVIcode, the ASP.NET Report Library extends the reporting capabilities of Systems Center Operations Manager 2007, enabling comprehensive analysis and trending of application behavior.

Among the critical reports delivered in the ASP.NET Report Library are:

• ASP.NET Hotspot Report – This report provides operations and development teams with an accurate and reliable way to identify the most significant application problems affecting their users. The report provides insight into the frequency of problems over time and ranks problems according to the overall occurrence rate. The report can provide information on the most significant problems affecting a given application or multiple applications.
• ASP.NET Event Trend Report – This report enables operations teams to review performance trends over time in order to measure application behavior. The report includes data on the overall volume of event activity of applications. The report provides a visual representation of both performance and exception trends over a particular time period on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
• ASP.NET Application Event Distribution Report – This report depicts event distribution across ASP.NET applications and Web Services. The report examines the volume of event activity between monitored ASP.NET applications across a defined period of time.
• ASP.NET New vs. Known Alert Report – Operations and development managers use this report to gain understanding of the impact of a new application release or update. Operations managers are able to ensure the updated release is performing at the same or better level than the previous release. Development managers are able to ensure that all known issues are resolved in the new release. The report measures the number of new alerts generated by an application versus the known problems previously reported.

In addition to the ASP.NET Report Library, AVIcode also announced that, through a development and license agreement with Microsoft, the company had developed and delivered the built-in application monitoring capability of Systems Center Operations Manager 2007. AVIcode’s technology is acknowledged within Systems Center Operations Manager 2007. AVIcode announced its .NET Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007 which extends those monitoring capabilities to include real-time, root cause diagnosis of code failures and performance bottlenecks.

AVIcode at MMS
AVIcode’s .NET Management Pack and its integration with Operations Manger 2007 will be featured in the MMS technical session – Line of Business Application Monitoring – on Friday, March 30. AVIcode’s CTO, Victor Mushkatin, will be presenting in the session along with Microsoft’s James Galvin. AVIcode will also be exhibiting at booth #226 throughout the MMS conference.

Pricing and Availability
The ASP.NET Report Library is expected to be available in April 2007 as a free download to Operations Manager 2007 users from both Microsoft and AVIcode.
