Five Rivers Cattle

An independently operated joint venture between the cattle feeding businesses of ContiGroup Companies, Inc. and Smithfield Foods, Inc., Five Rivers Cattle has a combined feeding capacity of more than 800,000 head of cattle with locations in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, making it one of the world’s largest providers of cattle feed. Five Rivers needed a solution that could deliver visibility into several logistical applications that tracked and delivered data on cattle feeding, health and location, and on shipping/receiving and warehousing of feed. In addition, the Five Rivers system provided detailed reporting and financial information. These applications were in use at seven distinct locations, creating a challenge for corporate headquarters to manage and maintain. With AVIcode providing visibility into each of their cattle yards, Five Rivers is able to ensure availability of their critical business systems, resulting in better management of their business.
