Broadgap developed a trouble ticket
system for Tolt Technologies, a reseller of
Symbol data capture devices. The system had
strict SLAs in place, guaranteeing response
time of as quick as 15 minutes. Downtime,
therefore, could be very costly. As Broadgap
developed the application, they realized
they needed to be able to test it with all
possible wireless interfaces and would have
to rely on manual reporting of problems from
technicians in the field. Instrumentation
would not have been sufficient, so Broadgap
brought in AVIcode. Intercept Studio
enhanced the testing process and eliminated
the need for manual reporting of errors in
production. In addition root cause analysis
helped Broadgap to detect and resolve an
elusive bug.

When CSC experienced a slow down of an
application they developed for a state
agency to submit and receive information
about Medicaid claims, patient eligibility,
claims status, etc., they turned to
Intercept Studio to determine the root cause
of the performance issue. Intercept Studio's
ability to deliver a graphical event chain
to visually represent transactions across
multiple servers helped CSC identify a
series of SQL queries that were causing the
bottleneck. In addition, CSC utilized
Intercept Studio throughout their QA stage,
helping to reduce test cycles for use cases
from three days to one day.

Deloitte
Deloitte needed a dependable, visible and
concrete way of documenting the existence of
application coding and configuration errors.
AVIcode helped Deloitte develop and
implement a standardized monitoring platform
for diagnosing problems associated with
productivity and HR applications for the
company's US employees. Used throughout the
application lifecycle – in development, QA,
and production – AVIcode has helped Deloitte
enable effective monitoring processes and
procedures. Prior to using AVIcode, Deloitte
resorted to the tedious and error prone
process of windbg, IIS logs, and DebugDiag .
They now monitor with Intercept Studio at
each step in the lifecycle, and find
particular value in the QA portion. They
expect to reduce troubleshooting time in all
environments, make known issues more visible
and reduce downtime significantly. Due to a
lack of visibility into their .NET
applications, Deloitte implemented MOM and
AVIcode's .NET MP, believing the two
products complemented each other well and
provided a complete monitoring platform.
Deloitte make minor UI tweaks and throttling
adjustments, allowing them to monitor even
applications with numerous exceptions. They
selected AVIcode because it is simply "best
of breed" and has met or exceeded
expectations for .NET monitoring. AVIcode
has reduced troubleshooting time and failed
deployments. In addition, Deloitte's "blindspot"
with regard to .NET applications has been
eliminated, and they expect to champion use
of AVIcode's technology earlier and earlier
in the development lifecycle in order to
continue making the invisible visible for
application development. This has also
proven to be a great teaching tool for new
and junior developers.
Elisra
A provider of advanced solutions for air,
sea, and land deployment in over 25
countries, Elisra's main IT application is
based upon an ERP system installed on a Unix
platform. In order to provide ERP
connectivity to their users, a very complex
.NET application was developed to serve as
an emulator to the ERP solution in order to
provide company-wide access to its data. The
complexity of this application required long
hours spent on isolating and diagnosing the
root cause of problems. Elisra selected
Intercept Studio to automate problem
detection and diagnosis, with the result
being dramatically reduced time to problem
resolution.
