Assurant
Assurant, a Fortune 500 company, is the
premier provider of specialized insurance
products and related services. Assurant
selected AVIcode’s technology to monitor
several critical insurance applications,
including:
- an International Policy Management
system for their extended service
contracts
- a Domestic Policy Management and
Customer Service system for their credit
card insurance products.
These critical systems are used
internally by Assurant employees to aid in
customer service and administrative tasks,
often while the employees are working
directly with a client. The availability and
reliability of these systems is, therefore,
of paramount concern.
Prior to deploying AVIcode’s solution,
Assurant’s operations team found their
internally-built error reporting did not
provide enough details to facilitate rapid
resolution of problems. With AVIcode,
Assurant’s operations team is able to
quickly detect application problems, both
exceptions and performance degradations, and
rapidly pinpoint the precise root-cause of
the problem. Assurant has realized savings
in both time and resources, and are now able
to achieve optimal system availability and
reliability.
Clal Insurance Group, Israel’s foremost
insurance company, selected AVIcode’s .NET
Management Pack to provide better support
for their field agents. The company needed
an in-production application monitoring
solution, for which their current monitoring
technologies were not well-suited. AVIcode
filled Clal’s monitoring gap, enabling them
to gather real-time information and quickly
resolve problems affecting the main
application responsible for communication
and data processing between the agent and
the company.

Cross Country Automotive
Cross Country Automotive used application
exception blocks to identify application
problems occurring in production. The
company found this method did not provide
them the level of detail they needed to
expedite problem resolution. Cross Country
knew they needed more than profiling
technology and application blocks, so they
turned to AVIcode to deliver critical
insight into exception events and
performance of a Windows service. AVIcode’s
technology is used in production and
diagnostically in development and QA.
Desjardins
Desjardins is in the midst of a
significant migration to .NET. As they
anticipated needs for dependable
availability of these mission-critical
applications, they investigated several
options for .NET application monitoring.
Intercept Studio was selected because it
provided greater detail and diagnostics than
other solutions and was the only solution
available to provide root-cause analysis of
problems occurring in production. Desjardins
also deployed MOM as their management
console, in part because of AVIcode’s
seamless integration with the product.
AVIcode is delivering unsurpassed
visibility into the health of Desjardin’s
applications, from development through
production. While the migration to .NET is
still an ongoing project, other areas of the
company have been benefitting since day one
from the diagnostic data provided by
Intercept Studio.
Evolutions Benefits' "Benny Program" is a
pioneering service that enables better
administration and management of eligible
benefits. Critical to the success of the
program is the ability to provide members
with direct, uninterrupted, real-time access
to the Benny central database. To ensure
availability and reliability of their
web-enabled system, Evolution Benefits
selected Intercept Studio to provide
always-on monitoring for both coding and
performance issue With Intercept Studio,
Evolution Benefits is able to react to
problems before customers even realize their
is an issue, so customers are enjoying
uninterrupted service and have a high level
of confidence in the system.

Harleysville Insurance
With operations in 32 states,
Harleysville is a leading provider of
insurance products and services for small
and mid-sized businesses, as well as for
individuals, and ranks among the top 60 US
property/casualty insurance groups.
Harleysville selected AVIcode to monitor its
insurance underwriting application which is
a web-based front end for the company's
mainframe.
Icatu Hartford
Icatu Hartford is the Brazilian office
for the Hartford Insurance. When the office
experienced problems diagnosing application
performance issues and were only able to
collect limited health information on their
applications, they turned to Intercept
Studio.
Insurity
A division of Checkpoint, this third
party software vendor provides services to
the insurance industry. In order to better
support timely releases of their
applications, AVIcode's technology is used
to trace code and analyze SLA metrics for
the various methods the application calls.
Insurity also intends to use Intercept
Studio in their production environment for
real-time detection and diagnosis of any
issues that occur.
RealMed
RealMed needed a monitoring solution that
could help them diagnose and resolve
application problems in production.
Initially, AVIcode was used to help diagnose
the root cause of a memory leak problem.
Now, as the company releases new products,
AVIcode will be relied upon to deliver
detailed information on application behavior
and health. This information is deemed
critical to the company’s troubleshooting
efforts.
XL Capital
XL Capital, a leading provider of global
insurance and reinsurance, was having
problems with a third party application that
tied into an AS/400 back-end system. The
system was causing a time-out to occur, and
after months of working with the third party
to determine the cause of the problem, XL
turned to AVIcode. AVIcode helped XL
determine the problem was a web service call
to the back end system. AVIcode is now used
by XL for both application performance
monitoring and business activity monitoring.
AVIcode has become the backbone of a global
monitoring system for an internal WinForms
application, and our solution is used to
monitor both workflow and business metrics.
